Before he had went for his court date, the young lady had lost her job. She was in a car accident that had injured her arm and she was unable to work for a while. She lived with her parents, her daddy had always taken care of her and there was never and need for her to go and venture any further. Unfortunatly, her parents hadn't been home ( or atleast it seemed) since she was in high school, which would have beed two states and almost seven years. They were always off on trips, cruises and such. Therefore she was always need to take care of the house and the animals. Well, when it was time for the girl to return to work form he medical leave, someone, not the voice of reason, convinced her that it wasn't the job for her and she never returned that month, but instead left her options open with that company.
With in the first few weeks of the young man's jail sentence, this girl became ill, like no other time in her entire life. She had no fever, but could barely stand, no color in her face, she couldn't eat or hold anything down when she did, she even lost wieght. Someone then pointed it out to her. She was pregnant. She made her appoinment, saw the doctor, was told the news and passed out before she could get out of the office. She was already 12 weeks give or take, so much was going on she wasn't paying attention to her cycle. What was she to tell he parents? What was she going to say to her young man if he called from jail?
When she finally got home, her mother ( whom was never as supportive as her father) asked her "well what are you gona do?" in one of the most condesending voices ever heard, both her parents hated this young man. All she could say was "I guess I'm gonna be a mamma". Her daddy on the other hand was thrilled beyond belief and just didn't want to shout from the rafters. He was going be a papa and no one was going to take that joy from him, although that didn't stop him from being the father she really needed him to be right then and there. He supported and comforted her with everything he had.
Later that eveing when the phone rang, her heart sank, she had to go throw up. Her father answered the call and accepted the charges. Being the person that she is, the young man already knew she was going to the doctor. She knew in a relationship you don't hold back info, you don't lie, thats what cause problems, always be honest from the begining. When the young man found out he was going to be a father he was overjoyed. He started planning and promising, etc. The moon and the stars. Life, even though at the time had some minor set backs, was beautiful and they were going to a happy family.
Of few more weeks into his sentence, she was finally able to visit him at the jail. It wasn't easy for her to see him like that but she went any way. It's not like what you see on the tv. Not at a local jail. In a large room the sat ten feet away, no hugs, no kiss, just thirty minutes of akward small talk, because they don't want the whole jail to know thier business. Basically it's just there so they can see each other. They can see other things too. Like the fact that his other girlfriend, the one that was almost twice his age, was on his vistor's list. The young girl thought they had been over for quite some time, why would.... he can't be serious... alot of explaining he did and she bought every word of his doublespeak. She was having his baby but his list was made out befor he knew that.
Well, when he finally got out of jail, a happier reunion could not have been anticipated. He went back to his old job and with them both getting their taxes back they put a deposit down on a place to live and by her birthday they were moved in. They got an ultrsound and found out they were having a baby girl.
