My son is two and a half. Tuesday he had dental work done. He had three crowns, several fillings and one heck of a good cleaning. Anyway to accomplish all of this the dentist had to do it via out patient sugery - They had to put my son to sleep. Well, let me just say that it was the single worst day that I can can remember for quite sometime. His father and I spent seven hours in the hospital. They worked on Griffin's teeth for almost three hours. We got there at 7: 15  and my son screamed until they gave him a sedative at 9:45. His sugery began at 10:08. We did't get home til well after 2:00. Now if you have ever had any kind of sedative or anesthesia you know that both make you extremely irratible when they wear off. Well considering the a two year old can not reason or justify feeling like crap, not to mention he's already mad and pronned to screamming, irritable was the understatement of the century. He screamed for hours. He screamed at me, his Daddy, his sister, his Nanny, everyone. It was horrifing. He is the most inconsolable child on the planet. No amount of hugs or kisses, no stearn words or threats, no time outs, no punishments, nothing , no reasoning , no bribes nothing will stop him from the TANTRUM. It was so bad that one of my nieghbors ( I only have 2 so figuring out which one isn't hard) called the police. Like my day wasn't bad enough now the drunk accross the street thinks I abuse my kids. If anyone has any advice please don't hesitate, speak (or type).
