Welcome to Andieland ---- The mind is like a parachute, for it to work it must first be open.

When will this end

So, I didn't get much sleep last night. I was sweating to death, it seemed and I had heart burn so bad I could slap someone. I'm also stricken with these damn allergies that I just seem to acquire in the last few years or so. Not to mention I still have all this congestion, that never seemed to go away when I had the broncitis in January. I think it was January. I was put on antibiotics for it then the damn dentist put me on antibiotics twice, so you would think by now I'd be as healthy as healthy could be. BUT I"M NOT! My nose is still stuffed up and I am still coughing up stuff.

Here's the funny thing, I took this online quiz yesterday. I googled something because I realized that my body was cycling. Every year about the same time I start loosing some hair and eyelashes. So I wanted to know if it could have been a vitamin deficiency or maybe an allergy to something I was eating or a medication or what ever. Then this link to About.com for thyroid showed up. Now about 80% of the women in my family have some kind of major thyroid problem, so I went to the site and started to read some about it.

Anyway, I took this test. I scored a 90% for risks and symptoms. The weird thing was it was asking questions I wouldn't even being to associate with my thyroid. Like- does it take you longer to get over illness than everyone else? (See above paragraph.) Does it bother you to wear stuff around your neck? (OMG there are times that I will put on a shirt and can't get it off fast enough if it's too tight around my neck, and forget about a turtleneck!) Are your nails breaking and brittle?(All of a sudden a month ago my beautiful (natural) nails started breaking and splitting.) Have you recently developed allergies?( See above paragraph) Do your eyes cause you headaches?(HEADACHES!!!)  The only questions ( 4 of them ) I answered no to were questions I didn't know the answers to.

But I've had my thyroid checked before, they said it was normal. Of course that was a few years ago but I'm not sure the doctor I go to now will really care. Doctors just don't seem to give a shit anymore. Treat 'em and street 'em. Who cares about actually fixing someone. Who do you go to to get well? Maybe if I keep telling myself there isn't a problem, there will be no problem.

Oh here's the test
